Mommies like me are obsessed with making our house clean and tidy, we also tend to become more of the artist inside the house as we know what color combination suits our house, what little detail should we put inside to make it more beautiful. As homemakers we are looking for a brand that will surely help us transform our homes into a very beautiful abode.
Dulux by AkzoNobel gathered renowned experts in design and architecture on how color can help us transform spaces. Held at The Glasshouse by Harlan + Holden in Makati City, Let’s Talk Color brought in Cat Arambulo-Antonio, interior designer and the first Filipino judge on The Apartment, Philux Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Stephanie Kienle-Gonzalez, Plaza+Partners Managing Partner, Rebecca Plaza, and AkzoNobel’s Managing Director for Decorative Paints, South East and South Asia, Middle East, Jeremy Rowe for the session.

Apart from preventing and delaying stains from penetrating deep into the paint film through a water-repellant and stain-resistant coating, Dulux’ ‘KidProof Technology’ gives homeowners the ease of mind while its ‘Chroma-Brite Technology’ which allow colors to look brighter for longer.
“Filipinos are a happy people, and colors play a key role in their lives as witnessed in the many fiestas throughout the country, holiday reunions and the particularly long Christmas celebration,” said Jeremy Rowe.
He continued, “We, ourselves, have an association with our own line of products. It’s because of this emotional association that we believe we can really touch the Filipino homemakers, as they themselves already have the same passion for color within their culture.”
As a judge on the acclaimed reality show, The Apartment, Cat Arambulo-Antonio shared how her experience critiquing challenges deepened her appreciation of color as an instrumental tool in emphasizing the aesthetics of interior design. Having designed spaces herself, Stephanie Kienle-Gonzalez spoke about the role of color as ‘collaborative’, seeing as how one can mix and match with many others and form a comfortable and beautiful living space. Meanwhile, 27-year-old globally-trained architect Rebecca Plaza explained how color adds the finishing touches to a structure, making it the transformative element that turns a house into a home.
Each product is designed to be of the highest quality, carrying the Singapore Green Label Certification and the prestige of being number 1 on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI). AkzoNobel has been featured in the top ten for 12 consecutive years, and leads the influential DJSI rankings again for the fifth time in six years, underlining the company’s commitment to working with customers to develop sustainable solutions that make a positive impact on the whole value chain.
“This is only the beginning for Dulux in the Philippines,” added Jeremy Rowe. “As we continue to grow our business here, we hope to be able to bring out more of the Philippines colorful culture, and inspire others to create more vibrant, livable experiences together.”
