OLX Possibili-tree, a tree of hope for the unfortunate children

Christmas season is 10 days away, but most of the children in the Philippines still don’t have something to eat on their dinner table. Thanks to OLX who partnered with Save the Children to raise funds that will help giving unfortunate children and their families a better life and the OLX Possibili-tree was born.

“WIth OLX Possibili-tree, we would like to send out the message that it is possible to reward ourselves while extending support to others at same time. The full amount that we will generate from selling these second-hand items will be turned over to Save the Children to assist them with their disaster response programs that are especially focused on education and health,” said OLX Philippines Brand Marketing Manager, Jean Magboo.

“We are grateful for this partnership with OLX and we invite everyone to join by donating or buying any of the items on display on the OLX Possibili-tree. Your donationswill go along way in helping us support our sponsored children and their families to have better access to health, childhood development, and education. This wonderful gift will give them more reason to smile and feel loved not just this Christmas, but all year round,” said Riel Andaluz, Corporate Partnerships Sr. Manager Save the Children.

The OLX Possibili-tree is a 15 feet high Christmas tree made up of quality second-hand items that are up for sale from December 15 until January 15, 2016 at the Lobby of Gateway Mall Cinema. You can donate clothes, books, appliances, bags, office supplies and gadgets that will be sold to help children from Save the Children. If you do not have second-hand things to donate you can still help OLX and Save the Children by spreading the word on your social media accounts and use the hashtag #OLXPossibilitree. You can also donate cash to the children, OLX has a booth stationed beside the Possibili-tree and open from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm daily until January 15, 2016. Let’s all help the children and their family to have a decent home especially now that Typhoon Nona has landed in the Philippines Area of responsibility. Let’s also pray for everyones safety especially the homeless kids.
