As the years passes by, the population of car enthusiasts is surprisingly growing. In fact, even Filipinos have their own fair share to this increasing figure of car buffs. From Isuzu Mu-X LS-A 4×2, Hyundai Tucson, Volkswagen Jetta TDI, to Toyota Innova, Philippines has evidently shown their support and love with cars.

Last year, the sales of muscle vehicle have increased, considering it as one of the best years for the car industry. But this year, the records are in, and the results are terrible. The first month of the year are usually the period where the sales for cars are down, however, this 2017, it became the worst month for sales for the car industry since 2010.

Of all the muscle cars available across the globe, there are three leading car brands that stood out in the muscle car industry—Mustang, Camaro, and Challenger. Among the three muscle cars, there is no doubt that Mustang leads the sales with an average of 5,046 sales, followed by Camaro at 3,588, and Challenger at 3,393.

Since its debut last two years ago, the Ford Mustang has evolved to a more defined performance. Having three different engines that cater to both needs and wants of people in a muscle car, it is no wonder that the Ford Mustang had the most number of sales in the muscle car division.

On the other hand, the Chevrolet Camaro has impressively matured over the years in terms of its look and performance. For this reason, it has been in America’s list of muscle car favorites. Camaro’s top-notch dynamics are what make it different among the other muscle cars in the industry. This is why this sought-after vehicle has led the top sales for the muscle car field last year, leaving Mustang and Challenger behind.

At the same time, the Dodge Challenger made its way to the top three mainly because it has the powertrains that consists of 305-hp 3.6-liter V-6, eight-speed auto, a 5.7-liter Hemi V-8, and a 485-hp 6.4-liter Hemi V-8, which is clearly suited for cruising or drag-racing. In addition, the Challenger was designed with a five-passenger all-wheel drive. This is why it is the only practical muscle vehicle in town.

Given these facts, the competition for the best muscle car in the world is on. Mustang has taken its first steps to gears up more in the game. Ford has decided to update its features with more horsepower, a ten-speed gearbox, and a new look. Meanwhile, the Challenger needs to have a refresh, on both looks and performance if it wants to stay longer in the competition. Whereas, the Camaro has been surprisingly quiet in their headquarters whether they are making a revamp or upgrade to their features.

Car enthusiasts wish that Chevrolet will release more special edition cars to help them retain the second spot in the muscle car division. Additionally, if these special editions are going to be release, the Chevrolet Camaro may overtake Ford’s Mustang, definitely.

In conclusion, these muscle cars have one thing in common—speed. It is indeed the thing that car buffs are looking for when choosing the perfect muscle vehicle. Now which of these three muscle cars is better for you?
