Inquisitive Mommy: ASUS ZenFone Zoom

ASUS ZenFone Zoom

I love taking photos specially taking memories of my kids and what they are doing, it may be simple or special. I love capturing moments with my camera. This new camera phone is the best when it comes in taking photos specially when you now have a lovely puppy added in your family. I took photos of Chiw Chiw with ease specially when he’s hyper and running.

Are you a photography enthusiast or you just love to take photos of beautiful sceneries around you? Maybe, this is the right phone for you! More about ASUS ZenFone Zoom below:

The Design

The ZenFone Zoom is a 5.5  inches full HD phone which have a leather back and an aluminium edges. The design is very chic and sophisticated because of the leather back. What’s more interesting with this smartphone is that it has its own button for camera and video recording like you have your own camera. The leather back for me is like giving you a much more grip specially when you are holding it for taking photos.

The Pixel Master (Camera)

The ZenFone Zoom camera is what I really adore about this smartphone, because it has manual mode (although other ZenFone also does), plus the optical zoom is to look for because even if you are using the 3x zoom you can see the photos very smooth and without grains in it. The zoom is not giving you a “cropping zoom”, but will give you a nice a vibrant photo. (here’s a sample of the 3x zoom)

The camera or the pixel master is made with a special 10-element lens which is created by HOYA. HOYA, a Japanese optic expert which uses a “D-cut” which maximizes the incoming light that can make photos look vivid and sharp, plus it can allow 3x optical zoom for a clearer and not crop like photo.

The Battery

The battery life of ZenFone Zoom is quite quick for me, whenever I use it specially when I am on data the battery can easily get drained for about 60% of your battery, taking photos in the lowest brightness (this is indoor shooting) can get drained for about 50% of your battery life, taking photos using full brightness (outdoor shooting) can eat up your battery of up to 70%. But since it has the quick charging capacity with less than 40 minutes I have a full battery again. I wish it has the capacity of ZenFone Max’s battery so I can enjoy taking photos without fearing to go low bat, thanks to the Zen Power I can juiced up my phone specially when I am outside.

The Audio

The ZenFone Zoom uses Sonic Master 2.0 which gives a much louder and clearer sound (I must say an opera kind of sound). The ZenFone Zoom also uses the ZenEar which gives a noiseless experience specially when you are outside the comfort of your home.

The ASUS Experience

I’ve been using Laser and selfie as my camera phone ever since I sell my mirrorless camera and I am very happy with my experience with it. But, when the ZenFone Zoom came into my life, having a phone with a DSLR capability makes blogging and my passion for photography much easier. I can slip it through my pocket with ease, can bring it anymore without the bulky bag that I need to bring before when I have my mirrorless camera and I don’t need to bring extra lens for my ling shots, because with the 3x zoom of ZenFone Zoom I can easily zoom in and out and my photo is not suffering from it because it still gives a clearer and vivid photo.

I must say that I am so satisfied with ZenFone Zoom and I just wish it have a much longer battery life, but other than that I have the best-set smart phone now! How about you have you find your perfect camera phone?
