ASUS ZenFone Max has a plastic front and back, but the side trimmings look like ZenFone Zoom. It also looks like ZenFone 2 Laser, but what they did is put the volume rocker and the power button on the right side of the phone to have a little twist. I love how the gold side trim blends on the white colour of the phone.
ZenFone Max is available in two colours: Leather-like finish of Osmium Black and Eggshell finish of Pure White. If you choose the white one be sure to buy casing to protect the unit from scratches and other elements that can make phone look untidy.
The Display, User Interface and Apps
The UI or the User Interface is very fluid and does not hang up. Some apps are pre-installed like Dr. booster, Beauty Plus, trip advisor, mini movie and photo collage. You can adjust your desired brightness. I preferred a low light view, but I have problem when I am outside specially when the sun shines too bright and my screen brightness is low, that is why I opt to use automatic so that the phone can automatically adjust on the light where I am in.
ZenFone Max is 5.5 inches, 1280x&20 HD screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 which is very good for a phone this monstrous because it’s shutter and scratch resistant. It is also uses blue light filter for their users eye care.
I think ASUS has mastered the art of making a vivid display though needs more improvement when it comes to super bright lights.
I did a Battery test using Antutu Battery benchmarking and ASUS ZenFone scored: 20,183. I started the battery test at 3:25 am at 73% battery and the battery test ended 10:37 am with 19% battery left. ASUS ZenFone Max’s battery is really very good for gamers and heavy users of data or wifi, but after the battery test it takes more than 2 hours to charge the battery which make me feel bored (haha!) I just love to use it over and over again.
ZenFone Max’s battery a non removable is 5000 mAh Li-Polymer which have a standby time of 38 days when used in 3g only and has a talkative of 37.6 hours and 32.5 hours when wifi browsing.
I use Antutu Benchmarking 6.2.0 and ASUS ZenFone Max scored: 25,276. The multi touch test scored: 10 when we use 10 fingers. I also run the Antutu Javacript benchmarking and ASUS ZenFone Max score: 16,926 surpassing xperia ultra.

The ASUS Experience
I would recommend this phone to people who like games, watching videos online, Pokemon Go Addicts and fans and people who are so lazy to bring their power bank with them. This phone proves that I can charge just 2x in a week and it’s really powerful and can go with the lifestyle that I have. Though, the camera is not just like the one that I am using (ZenFone Zoom) I still have the chance to take beautiful photos and my son also takes a beautiful selfie with the PixelMaster. My overall is experience was really great and with the price which very affordable with a nice battery this smart phone will surely be number 1 when it comes to choice of affordability and battery life.
