ASUS ZenFone Live can be tagged as the “Vlogger’s Friend” as this phone can edit while we are live. So you don’t need to worry about blemishes and pimple marks, because there’s an instant answer with that! Check our full and in depth review about the unit below:
ASUS ZenFone Live is super sleek and lightweight. The front panel has the three touch cursor and above it is the 5MP front camera with soft LED flash for a good selfie experience. The power button and the volume rocker are both located on the right side of the phone and on the left side is the hybrid sim tray. When you turn the phone, you’ll see a metallic plastic finish of the phone which gives the phone a much sleeker look.
Though we have this problem with the back panel as it is easily scratch when you don’t have casing. But overall, we love the design and it comes in Pink, Gold and Black.
What’s inside the box?

The Display, UI and Apps
ASUS ZenFone Live’s display is 5-inch HD IPS display, 720 x 1280 resolution. It’s very fluid and no lagging at all and it also have blue light filter like other ASUS smartphones. Live also have pre-installed apps like Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, ASUS ZenFit, and BeautyLive.
Though the phone lags when you play RPG like The World, but when you switch to games like, banana kong or temple run, it runs smoothly.
We did a battery testing using Antutu Battery Test and ZenFone Live scored: 5,820. We started the test around 5:10 PM with 96% battery life and ended at around 8:32 PM with 14% battery life. Imagine more than two hours of non-stop data/wi-fi, browsing, videos and games the phone still manages to end up with 14% of battery life, though through out the Battery Test the temperature shoot up to 40.1 Celsius. By the way, ZenFone Live’s battery is non-removable Li-ion 2650 mAh, which can last more than 3 days when in standby.
To check ZenFone Live’s benchmark we also use Antutu Benchmarking version 6.2.7 and it scored: 27,085. ZenFone Live’s game performance is mid-level, but most RPG games are lagging when we tried it. We also tested the Multi- touch and it scored 5/5 and there is no dead pixel when we tested using Antutu’s Screen Test.
The Camera and Sample Shots
ASUS ZenFone Live has a 5MP front camera with a sensor pixel and a soft LED flash for that perfect selfie at the bar or at any places with low light and 13 MP back camera with LED flash. I got some adjustment with this phone since it does not have manual mode where I can personally adjust the exposure and white balance, though the auto mode gives vivid photos, I am much into manual mode and doing some experiment with exposure and white balance.
We have also compared ZenFone Live with iPhone 7

The ZenFone Live Experience
It has been more than a week of usage and I can say that we love how lightweight the phone is and how sleek and sophisticated it looks for just P 6,995. I mean money wise this phone has a lot to say specially in terms of usability and a lot of benefit you can get from the phone like, a crystal clear audio and a real time beautification. That’s why we have tagged ZenFone Live as the “Vlogger’s BFF or friend” as this is a very good investment for Vloggers (Video Bloggers). But if you are planing to use this for games, We or my youngest son will not recommend to download RPG games because you may have a hard time playing due to lag. BUT, this is very recommendable to people who loves to do the selfie because of its soft LED flash and if you love to listen to music whether classical or rock ZenFone Live is also the one for you as this uses 5 magnet speaker (please see specs above for info).
So to sum it all, this phone can be for Vloggers, People who loves music or love selfies, but whatever the reason you have you can have the best of both world with this phone as this is a very reasonable phone with a lot of benefits on it and a sleek and sophisticated look, what more can you asked for? + ASUS has the trademark when it comes to their rear camera as they can compete with DSLR. Though this one may not have manual mode for the rear camera, but it still takes good quality photos. So if you still have doubts about this smartphone asked my 10 year old son, why you need this in your lifestyle!
