A healthy pregnancy is what all pregnant women want. Sadly though, there are some pregnant women who experience difficulty while they’re pregnant. Some of them are even advised to go on bed rest to avoid unwanted miscarriages. When a woman is pregnant, here are the dangerous signs that she should be watchful of.
- Bleeding – Bleeding during any stage of pregnancy calls for a red flag. It is best to get in touch with the doctor right away for help. Bleeding during the first trimester of pregnancy can also mean an ectopic pregnancy which calls for an operation to remove the baby out since it is attached outside the uterus.
- Severe Vomiting – nausea and vomiting are common pregnancy symptoms; however, severe vomiting is not included in this. When a pregnant woman can’t hold down fluids and foods, she is at risk of dehydration. It is important to seek for doctor’s help as soon as possible.
- Early contractions and water breaking – when a pregnant woman experiences contractions when she’s just starting her first trimester, it is better to ask for help from her general practitioner. Early contractions and water breaking can be a false labor but it is not always the case. When the contraction is steady and predictable, it can be a sign of true labor.
Pregnant women should always have someone she can easily contact when she experiences these symptoms so she can visit her doctor right away for assistance.
